Disappointed to be a fan on this sub

I just want to say this as the recent freakout in the footballing world has broken out with CR..i am extremely disappointed in the way this sub reacted. The first thing everyone posted was "we are bigger than him this club can carry on"...That statement is 100% true, RMCF is bigger than any one player, but are we seriously not going to put up a fight as fans for one of footballs greatest ever and the best player our club has ever had? After this season repeating CL and the last 8 of being our best player we are just going to say ok see ya thanks? Who are we? Barca fans wouldn't dream of telling messi he can go even if he played shit for a season let alone if he led our teams in goals by a mile in double winning campaign like cr did. Terrible reading these posts as all people mention is how we are still set for next season etc. Can you really say as a true fan that you dont want cristiano to retire here? Or do we want to let him leave because we dont "need" him..10 years down the road we will all question why we never let him retire here if he leaves. Our greatest player, leading goal scorer and responsible for 1/4th of our CL's and people dont seem to care. I read these posts and sometimes truly believe the plastic fan outlook on this sub and wonder if anyone really appreciates what he has done for us or if fans only realize after he is gone. Shame of it is, he probably wont leave. But the people who threw him out and counted him away because the club didn't "need" him; don't you dare praise him when he stays because that is hypocritical and not right.
