Opinion: Mercy players are smart enough to know when to ult - so leave us alone
As an ex-mercy main with over 31 hours on Mercy in comp, I have finally gotten sick of people telling me how to play.
I'm not good at Overwatch at any rate, only being plat, but I have found that Mercy seems to be the only hero that is constantly told by their teammates how to play. Team communication is important and necessary to win games, mercies seem to take the grunt of micromanagement within competitive.
Almost every game I will have teammates telling me when to rez, or get angry at me if I didnt: a) rez them, b) rez large enough or c) die before an EPIC REZ OPPORTUNITY. I'm pretty sure I'm the one playing the hero, so PLEASE let me think about what I'm doing so I can play the best I can. I don't want to be told how to play, or to hide or whatever, and often I can't rez because I'm dead because noone is killing the lurk.
Team comms regarding ulting together isnt a problem, ult sync is a major factor regarding pushing, but being told to hide and wait for rez and then having your teammates shout at you when you don't rez to their liking really gets on our nerves.
So please, from one Overwatch player to the next, leave the mercy to do their thing, they probably know how to play the hero if they chose it. Try not to boss us around and we will do our best to heal you.
Peace
