Me [ 18/F] with my middle school bully [18M/] started acting weird.

A boy that use to bully me in middle school through freshman year of high school started showing interest in me for some reason. I got homeschooled and this year(senior year) when I came back he started looking at me, pointed me out to his friends and at one point he made all his friends look at me they were saying I was cute and staring at me it was so embarassing because I am really shy and he has a lot of friends. I haven't even talked to him since elementary school and he used to tell those same friends that I got ugly and was creepy. So the sudden change in his behavior is really strange to me. Does anyone know what wrong with him?
