Magik 5.2.4 tips/Strategy
Morning/Evening/Nice Day in hell, whatever you prefer. I just finished 5.2.4 (well I have the limber path left), and just like most who have played it, that Magik is the bane of most people's existence. I was super nervous going into it, but it actually turned out alright for me.
Team: 5/50 Gwenpool, 5/50 Voodoo, 5/50 OG Vision, 4/40 Dorm, 5/50 Starlord.
Voodoo was my path clearer. He generally made things easy for me. I tagged starlord in during the longer fights. I made sure not to use Dorm/Vision/Gwenpool.
When it came to magik, I was definitely expecting to use Og vision and Dorm with success... That didn't work to well for me. After a few "Fucks", I decided to roll with Gwenpool. And wow, she was fantastic. If I did get hit with limbo, it was once, maybe twice. It's important to build your combo up though, and landing her L2 certainly helps. I personally found it difficult to keep her l2 going with the machoism, but just by keeping the combo up I reduced her limbo greatly. After 50 hits it was nonexistent.
As far as masteries, a maxed pacify will help greatly, so change your masteries up this weekend while it's free! Deep wounds maxed and assassin also were game changers.
I know not everyone has a Gwenpool. In that case maybe the OG vision or Dorm could work if you string the combos along correctly etc. I personally found the machosim/buffet to be too much for me to succeed with those two. Archangel may also be of great use, but I'm sure not too many of us have him.
In conclusion, if you're struggling with that Magik, be patience. Don't rush to complete those paths. I spent a grand total of 0 items on Magik, and while I'm awesome, I don't consider myself the best at this by any means. I certainly recommend gwenpool, and suggest those struggling to wait a couple weeks for the arena and go to town. Bide your time and items, and make that Magik your bitch.
Hope this helps. Sorry for the length (she never complains about it though ;) All Jokes aside, take your time, and you can get past that Magik without too much of a loss.
