Wanted to meet up with my grandparents to talk about Nmom. They told her.

[Advice Request]

(English is not my mother tongue, so apologies in advance for any mistakes. Also, I tried to keep it short, but I failed)

Long story short, I have a covert Nmom. Ntraits-dad used to be the SG for many years. They eventually got divorced and he was shunned from the family. I'm the next soon to be shunned SG.

I have been LC with my entire family for 9 weeks now and a few days ago I got a call from my grandparents. They just wanted to say that they really miss me, but they won't bother me anymore because Nmom told them that I didn't want to talk to them "because I have too much work" (I am in my exam period for the last three weeks, but apparently she has been telling them this since the start).

Now, I did film the last argument we had before LC. After that conversation, something in my snapped and I ran away to my dorm and thinking about going back to that place makes me sick to my stomach to this day. Since the very beginning, I had the intentions of showing the video to my grandparents, because even though it did not reveal the main reason why I left, it did break the image my Nmom created (that she was the perfect mother etc.).

I gave them a call a few days ago asking them if I could sleep over at their house, just them and me. I explicitly told them that I was just going to come over during exam period to see THEM and that I had no intentions of going to my Nmom's house. I would leave the next morning, just a quick visit. It was going to be the three of us (for those of you wondering: my exams would be over at that point. I would only have to go and discuss a big assignment I made, which will be short since I did well)

Anyways, for some reason they called my Nmom today to tell her that I would be in town soon. For some reason, they though that it was because I will be attending my best friends graduation ceremony, which takes place a week later in another town. I don't know why they connected the sleepover I planned with that event.

Today my Nmom texted me, telling me that she got that phone call and she suggested that I should come over to "sleep and eat at her house" ("eat" is used here as a way of luring me into her lair, since she always refuses to buy me food because "it is to expensive" and right now she wants to play the caring mother). I answered that I made a mistake and that the event would take place somewhere in juli, but I don't know when, and that it would be in another town (which is all true), implying that the sleepover would not be needed at all, since she made it sound like I was sleeping over at my grandparents house because I am stubborn.

What do I do now? I want to call my grandparents to tell them that it would be impossible to come over now, since I wanted to talk about me and my current situation in private, but that I cannot do that right now, knowing that there is a chance that "family" will show up and ruin it (besides, Nmom and her Eboyfriend created this image of me being a "fuck the system"-rebel. I am the opposite, also to old for that teenage-like kind of behavior). I know that that will hurt them, since they're already making plans to cook a big meal and play card games with me when I come over (since they genuinely miss me), but I feel a little bit back-stabbed, even though I didn't explicitly ask them not to tell my Nmom.

Option two would be to tell them that the graduation will be in another town on another date, and therefore I will come over later, but then I would be lying, since the graduation and the sleepover are not connected in any way and I would still run the risk that they would update my Nmom about my plans when I reschedule.

I can ask them not to tell Nmom about my visit, which would, first of all, create so much drama, since "Nmom is perfect and our relationship is flawless". Secondly, Nmom has them wrapped around her finger, so they would probably tell her the information anyways. There's also a big chance that they would want to talk about me with Nmom. I can imagine that it would be hard to just keep any feelings and questions they would have after this statement to themselves, especially since they love and trust Nmom. "She would never lie" etc.

I can also just go to the sleepover and see what happens.

And lastly I can cancel the plans and simply keep the contact with my grandparents to a minimum. I am not too keen on this idea, since I genuinely love and miss my grandparents and I value the thrust highly.
