Everything just fit into place! After discussing karma on here, shocked at how quickly it came back around.
Other than getting clean and keeping it that way (still working on a taper), the last piece of the puzzle just fell into place. It's been a lot of hard work taking on extra responsibilities at work and preparing everything to make sure that I'm the best father that I can possibly be. I had stopped hustling entirely before the new year, I had great plugs for any amount of smoke I could ask for and it was top quality at a low price. So it's still been a tough adjudtment with solely my work income; however, no amount of risk is worth missing the birth of my child, nor any part of their life.
But I've been exceeding expectations for over a year at work and I have incredible benefits, insurance, efc. Getting a few dollar raise in a couple weeks (we also get a few grand bonus every year), and cleaning up my act and my life more than I have since graduating college. Anyway, we just landed our dream apartment in seriously the most incredible location. It's a huge place too, the price is considerably cheap, and I'm so close to work.
Finding housing that we are able to afford on just my income (with the cost of child / day care it only makes sense for her to stay home with the baby instead of going back to work) was our biggest stressor - well, mine is also kicking fent, but no one "knows," other than where is most of my money going? We both are so ecstatic that I cannot even sleep some nights. I'm almost out of this hole I've dug for myself over the past too many years. My baby is the most important thing in my life and they didn't ask to be created, it wouldn't be fair for then to not have their father 100%.
There is hope for all of us. I'm not on some high horse or trying to be preachy, I'm just so damn excited because wonderful things like this don't come around often. Seize the opportunity when they do! Change is good, and each and every one of us deserve good things. I love all of you and the support you've all given me over the past year.. I've been posting a lot more the past few months and this sub has really helped not only my life and self confidence, but keeps me sane when I can't speak on so much in real life.
About to enjoy a great weekend lined up with my whole family and the kids, I hope all of you do the same!
