Old player returnig to find most crucible and weekly raids locked

So I was a rabid year 1 player, bought every single dlc expect for the Rise of Iron (?), and just recently started playing again. What I found was a game that more or less hated me for not buying the last dlc, and I saw that all crucible modes exept for the Controll game mode, and that all the other options (that stared right i my faced, brifht colors, big icons and all) were locked and required the last dlc.

I mean, what way is this to treat your fans? I have spenbt countless hours and houndreds of bucks on this game, and yet I am locked out of game modes and raids that I used to have acces too? Even with 3 dlcs I now have less content available than I did at Destinys launch day.

I can honestly say that never have i ever felt so unwanted in a game, and never have i felt the games push for everyone to by all the dlc more than in Destiny.

Guess I have to wait for summer sale to buy the last dlc so I can enjoy Destiny again...

Edit: After recieving some clarifying replies to my post I now understand the reasons why certain modes and features have been removed/condensed, and because of this I no longer feel as alienated from the game as I did.
