Why is it so much easier for men to love me?

I [19/M] have gone through my life not really knowing what love is. I've been inexperienced in relationships, and girls usually don't give me a chance. Why is it so easy for men to open up to me? Why is it so easy for men to love me? I can recall 3 times where men have loved me for me, but it didn't feel romantic. I feel like I can make it romantic.

Men care about what I think. They don't care about how I look. They care about the substance within me. They take a chance and actually listen to what I have to say. They value me, and my personality.

I don't know if I'm gay, and it's so confusing. I just want to be loved, but I don't think they like me like that.
