Anyone else not have enemies show up from their own flare?

Just curious because I play on PS4 and whenever I use the spot flare enemies don't show up on the mini-map, only on the large map do the enemies appear which forces me to bring it up.

When others use the flares however the enemies do show up on the mini-map, only when I use the flares they don't ?
