• adeadhead: Jesus Christ this is not your safe space.
• leadhound: We are not even mocking it. It's simply funny that it looks like headdress
• NostalgiaSchmaltz: This is a wild Tumblrina you're talking about.

In their eyes, any display of someone else's culture is "cultural appropriation" and you are literally hitler for finding any kind of enjoyment in it.

• SincerelyEarnest: I'm a Native American, I actually find this post hilarious.

However, I really don't like when people get offended on my behalf even though I'm not offended in the first place -_- I feel that if Natives found something offensive, we'd say something about it. We don't need people to pretend to fight on our behalf.

• killinmesmalls: This is the biggest thing the "cult of outrage" doesn't understand. Half of the shit they get offended about doesn't even matter and doesn't offend those who they are speaking out for. The other half of the shit is stuff the cultures view as not so bad or even welcomed. Like that girl in the hula video, some people like to see Hawaiian culture spreading and being admired, but no it must come from a place of bigotry and hatred. It's such a sad lack of communication with the exact people they wish to defend.

Edit: doesn't instead of don't

• fakiepanda: What was the girl in the hula video? I missed that one.
• WOOKIExCOOKIES: Stupidity Warning.
• Insane1rish: I heard "continent of Hawaii" and immediately clicked off the video.
• KaptainKhorisma: Yup! I literally saw that and immediately went yep, you lost the argument and it just started.
• literallyOfficer: literally saw that and immediately went yep, you lost the argument and it just started?
