Should I enable updates yet?

When Microsoft started to force people onto Windows 10 I decided to completely disable updates to prevent a clusterfudge. If I enable them now would the force update kick in and suddenly my PC would be Win10 tomorrow? Way back I did do the opt in but I changed my mind when I realized how much of a mess the new OS was. I am on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601)

(Note: I don't need to hear about the downsides of having updates turned off, so don't preach to me about it.)
