Temporary housing
Hey guys. So I received a late offer of admission to UBC a couple of days back. I emailed housing and asked them about my residence whose application I had submitted back in January, and they said I no longer qualify for the residence guarantee since I have not received an offer before June 1. They said they would put me in temporary housing and would notify me when a room is available for permanent residence. So how is this 'temporary' housing? Are they rooms? I read somewhere online that they make 3 or 4 students sleep in one of the Lounges of Totem or some other res. How likely is it that I get a permanent room? I am an international student and staying in res is essential at least for my first year so I can settle in.Any inputs would be appreciated! Thank you :)
