Nipple Piercing Experience and Parenting Question
So I did it! I got my nipples pierced. The one is perfect and I'm so happy with it...the other had to be removed that night :-(. I knew there was something wrong when I got home. It was bleeding super bad at the shop and she put tons of gauze on it. I went to couples therapy right afterwards and discovered it had bled through the gauze, my bra, and my dress. The couples therapist wasn't phased by it, she knew I was getting it done. When I got home I took all of the gauze off and looked in the mirror. It was super crooked and at an odd angle, when compared to the good one. I went back to the shop and the woman took it out, agreeing it was crooked. She said she'll re-pierce it in a month. When the bleeding finally stopped, I noticed the first hole placement was in the right spot, but the second was almost out of the tip of my nipple (not the side). On a positive note, my husband said he really finds the one that did work out sexy. I do too. I really like it. Can't wait to get the other one fixed!
The parenting question I have is, how do I discuss this with my 3 and a half year old daughter? I usually run back and forth from the shower in front of her. I think it's healthy for her to see a "mom" bod, not just model perfect women that she may see in ads and what not. That's how my mom was too when I was little and it's kind of normal to me. She stopped me and commented on the nipple piercing. Should I start covering up in front of her or make it into a mini conversation about body expression? Not sure what the correct route would be. Any feedback or ideas would be awesome.
