Finally defeating Gehrman, the First Hunter

So i hesitantly bought bloodborne about a year ago. It was highly praised and recommended by a good friend of mine, but i had heard about the infamous difficulty of the game. So to make a long story short i inevitably got hooked on to the game, even though im not a very patient person i still pushed through the game loving every moment. However when i got to the final boss The First Hunter, i could not beat him for the life of me. Id say i tried about 100 times but to no avail. I got so frustrated i gave up and left the game alone for about 5 months.

Tonight i was really bored and i remember bloodborne. So i started up the game and played through some of the areas, particularly mensis, and i plucked up the courage to take on Gehrman again. Gotta say after about 10 tries i finally defeated him. It was soo rewarding ive honestly never felt prouder about finishing a game it was great.

So i was wondering what it felt like for you gyys when you beat the game? Or how long it took to beat Gehrman or if hes even the hardest boss in the game.

Im definitely keen on playing through the game again with my badass character haha
