If LOST was a true story
I always loved the fact that the writers were trying to tell the story of LOST as if it could have been a true story. Like the fact the plane crashed on september 22 2004, or the Oceanic Airline website, or the conspiracy videos about the Oceanic 6 and the Dharma Initiative in the DVD bonuses.
If LOST was a true story, we would have heard about the crash in 2004, and everybody would have talked about it at the time because of Charlie. It would be like learning that Noel Gallagher died in a plane crash, the whole world would talk about it.
Then a few months later, the Oceanic 6 would have been discovered, and everyone would have talked about it because of their crazy story. It'd be a miracle, the kind of story that rarely happens. The Oceanic 6 would be as famous (or even more) than Amelia Hearhart or that plane that crashed in the Andes.
Internet would be full of conspiracy theories about them. Most people would believe the actual story, but full websites would be dedicated to analyse the Oceanic 6 story (just like 9/11 conspiracy theories).
So, that's the beginning. But the weirdest thing of the story is that: 3 years later, in 2007, every member of the Oceanic 6 (well except Aaron) would have taken a flight to Guam and experienced another plane crash. I mean, it would have been the most bizarre story ever heard. Plane crash survivors meet again and crash again. All the conspiracy folks would have gone nuts. And I'm not talking about the Ajira flight returning to civilization at the end with some people thought dead for 3 years, because I think Richard would have used his connections to hide their comeback and so avoiding people asking questions about the Island.
It's just a funny thought, but what do you guys think about that?
