Me [29 M] with my girlfriend [26 F] of 18 months, I was just diagnosed with coeliac and it's creating some intimacy issues

Relationships

So, I found out from the gastroenterologist that I have coeliac. He told me I have to be really careful about cross-contamination with gluten containing products. You know, different knives, different chopping boards, making sure no one puts the knife back in the butter after using it on normal bread.

For the most part my girlfriend has been really supportive. However, I don't think she's taking this seriously enough.

I'm still getting the symptoms of gluten cross-contamination. These aren't pleasant. In the worst case I end up with a lot of painful gas and cramps, look 6 months pregnant and get nauseas.

I'm being so careful but she is still consuming gluten. I've asked her to stop, but she won't. It's proving impossible to avoid with her consuming it. Even when she says she is only consuming gluten containing products outside of the home I still get symptoms.

This has made me extremely hesitant to make out with her because of the residual traces of gluten that may still be in her mouth and to go down on her in case it passes out that way. I really wish she'd show a little more concern for my condition and be prepared to cut gluten out completely, because I fear it's driving a wedge into our intimate relations.

Reddit, how can I get my girlfriend to show more compassion for my symptoms and to also go completely gluten free, not just in the house, but everywhere?

tl;dr: girlfriend is refusing to go gluten free and now I can't kiss her and am feeling disconnected, halp!
