Team houses in COD

Do team houses actually work in Call of duty Competitive or is it a placebo effect?

Seems like we have had a lot in cod such as TK, FaZe and OpTic and you do not see that much of an improvement as they were before hand.

Are they the way forward, I do not think so personally. Thoughts?
