Which of those two MacBooks will perform better with Sierra?

I'm looking for a new MacBook Pro and I have this choice:

1. MacBook Pro Retina 15" Mid 2012 (i7 2.3 QC, 8GB, 256GB, HD 4000+ GT 650M) Or
2. MacBook Pro Retina 13" Early 2015 (i5 2.7 DC, 8GB, 128GB, Intel Iris 6100)

Which of these Macs will perform better? Of course Early 2015 is newer but it doesn't have Quad Core CPU. My main field of work: Photo editing, programming, browsing the web and occasionally some video editing. Storage doesn't matter that much, I will be using external HDD. I've also heard that there are some problems with GT 650M dying and such.

Which laptop would be better in terms of performance? Thanks.
