It's not that they are ignoring them, you just haven't heard their side and if you have it's probably through someone's filter whom is on your side which are purposely presented as absurd and over simplified.
I could argue that X(your side) didn't use facts and evidence when making a decision, I could argue that Y did the same in some other instance. You never hear the bad and the ugly coming from your side, you only hear the good and the bad from the opposing team to reinforce your belief.
