Predator / Alien 220 / Charon / GX 2/4- Which one to get? Open to other suggestions as well
Hey everyone,
I'm in the market for a new VW/TC mod. I own the Reuleaux 2/3 and I'm running it mostly between 40-90 watts with two batteries since the mod gets too heavy and clunky for me with three batteries in. I mostly vape at .3-.5 ohms with clapton wire. I use attys between 22-25mm. My budget can go up to 100€
I'm looking for a new one because I've resoldered the internal wire twice now and the mod has started displaying the "Charging" screen, although the mod is not connected to a USB cable. This looks really iffy to me.
I am looking for the following in a mod:
-needs to be compact -good information on menu (2 battery status display etc...) -side firing button -display must be on the side not on top like some models the T-Priv
What I like about the mods I mentioned above, in order of what I tend towards the most with the most liked at the top
-Alien- I like the style of the mod and the menu as well. I know though that many people on this subreddit dislike the Alien and would rather recommend the Battlestar or the Charon. I also like how small it is. Without the TFV8 baby, this mod will cost me around 50€. I don't really care about paint chipping off, I have experience repainting stuff. I do care about a TC mode that works although I don't mind if it isn't as precise.
-Smok GX2/4-
I like the 2 battery option. To me, the mod looks like the Aliens' more conservatively dressed little brother. Also, it's slimmer than the alien. Really like the option of having 4 batteries when I'm on a long car trip for example. This will cost me around 60€. Also apparantly, Smok upgraded their paint and are now using paint akin to the one used on cars.
-Predator-
Looks like the original predator to me. Big, ugly. Gets the job done. Not super enthusiastic about this one. Cheap though.
-Charon-
Ok, I know this mod has many fan boys and girls here, but I don't like the small display. I watched some reviews on this one but meh... I don't understand why this mod is recommended so much.
Any input is greatly appreciated, thank you!
