On Hapa Privilege in the Media
The thing is, all humanized and fleshed out roles for Asian-blooded men go to hapas (the first Asian-descendant from The Bachlorette, Ross Butler, Lewis Tan, Zun Long, Dean Cain, Brandon Lee, Daniel Henney, Keanu Reeves [mix], Mark Dacascos [mix], etc.)... or extremely western-looking filipinos (think Crazy Ex-Gf).
All the shitty, dehumanizing and/or stereotypical roles go to full AMs like Byron Mann, Ken Jeong, Bobby Lee, Randall Duk Kim, James Hong, C.S. Lee, Matthew Moy, B.D. Wong, Leonardo Nam, Jimmy O. Yang, Cary Hiroyuki-Tagawa, Benedict Wong, Lee Byung Hun, Gedde Watanabe, Chin Han, Rex Lee, Louis Ozawa Changchien, Justin Chon, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tadanobu Asano in some roles, Randall Park in some roles, Kenneth Choi in some roles, Ken Watabane in some roles, Jet Li, Jackie Chan, etc.
There are also a lot of movies where hapas team up with whites to kill hordes of full AM.
That is hapa privilege (in the media).
Privilege precedes mental deficiency. This one mentally ill female hapas mod said movies can't be anti-Asian-male if it has Asian men in it or Asian men direct it. How mentally ill do you have to be to say something like that?
Asian media since itself is influenced by global aka white media, prefers hapas as well.
