[Routine help] Bought a hyaluronic acid serum, how to fully take advantage of its hydratation benefits?
I recently bought Hylamide Low Molecular HA Booster and i've been patch testing it for a week and more now. And so far so good, my skin seems to accept it. I'll try to introduce it slowly in my routine, (once a day and then maybe twice a day). However, since hyaluronic acid is a humectant etc etc, when do i have to put it to make sure that the serum will bring hydratation into my skin and its deeper layers and that the serum will not take the moisture out of my skin ?
Here's my skincare routine :
AM:
-
Splash on cool water to remove any products residue
-
geranium hydrosol
-
The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
-
Avene Tolerance Extreme Emulsion
-
EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF46
PM:
-
Jojoba oil (for oil cleansing when i'm wearing makeup)
-
Avene Cleanance Cleansing Gel + konjac sponge
-
Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant every second day ( i wait 30+min before applying an other product) or Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 8% AHA Gel Exfoliant once a week
-
Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay + apple cider vinegar (one that time of the month is approaching and when i have many breakouts)
-
Jojoba oil + Black seed oil + Hemp seed oil
-
Avene Cicalfate cream on hyperpigmentation scars
-
Vaseline
I actually have a oily/combination skin (my chin and my jaw have dry patches) atm. Do i have enough hydrating products in my routine to use the serum correctly? If not what would you recommend ?
