Sound issue on Plex Xbox One app (EAC3 DD+)
I'm experiencing some sound issues when using the Plex app on my Xbox One. I've compared the end credits music from an episode of Fargo.
When I access the episode via my blu ray player it sounds fine (BluRayPlayer/Router/ExternalHardDrive/TV/Fargo/) also (BluRayPlayer/PlexMediaServer/TV/Fargo/tv/Fargo).
When I access it via the Xbox's own media player it sounds fine too (Xbox/MediaPlayer/PlexMediaServer/TV/Fargo) also (Xbox/MediaPlayer/Router/ExternalHardDrive/TV/Fargo/)
But then when I load the Plex app on the Xbox and play the same episode, the sound is really weird. It's hard to explain, but the music sounds like someone is rapidly turning a volume knob up and down. The Plex player just doesn't seem to be able to handle the audio very well.
Having compared it to other episodes, it seems to be due to the sound being EAC3 - Dolby Digital Plus. I've tried other episodes where the sound is AC3 - Dolby Digital, and the same theme music sound fine.
Is this some kind of transcoding issue? I'm very new to Plex, so can anyone help me out? Is there a way of changing the settings of the Plex App/player so that it plays the sound directly as it is on the file rather than changing it? Or should I just avoid EAC3 DD+ files all together?
Thanks
