AURA Sync interfering with mining

I have a Asus 580 Strix in my main gaming rig and I noticed as soon as I install AURA Sync hashrates drop immensely to single digits, uninstalling it brought it right back up to normal. Anyone know anything about this or how to work around it besides not having the software installed?
