Question about OpenIVs continued function
Hello all! Will OpenIV continue to function with new GTAV patches/updates that are released in the future despite them ceasing to distribute/work on the platform?

I'm not a knowledgeable source of reliable info, but I think someone said that in order for OpenIV to not work Rockstar would have to alter GTAV's structure and the way the files work or some shit, so basically an ass ton of work to fuck OpenIV's ability to alter GTAV files.
The issue now is heaps of the awesome mods OpenIV installs also require ScriptHookV to run, and the way things look now ScriptHookV may never be updated again. There may be alternatives, a Reddit friend found source code for OpenHookV on Github, which may be used as an alternative for ScriptHookV but will require lots of work to be updated, and who is willing to put in all the work required to update it to maybe have Rockstar shut them down?
Basically don't hold your breath, the days of GTAV single player modding may be completely dead, with essential mods and tools being killed off.
But hypothetically we could all just stick in the old versions of GTAV and use those, where our current mods work, right?
Yeah there are ways out there to revert your GTA to pre Gunrunning and play that, unless TakeTwo does something to break that, for me this simply means the game is unplayable, trying to enjoy Los Santos without the Gunrunning content will just feel hollow and force me to focus on how robbed I feel, how the one company I trust to produce quality games I can enjoy for years at a time has now taken away what I enjoy most about them.
If you want to use the gunrunning content on an older version, you could (using openiv), take the fly files and copy them into a mods folder on and older version of the game. Then they'd be spawnable in single-player.
Everything? All vehicles and the new Mk II weapons? Have you done it?
Yeah, I get you. Can you show me where I can grab one of those versions from for the retail version? I made the mistake of updating to gunrunning and now I can't play the game with my mods.
I'm at work right now and am falling asleep, please excuse this extra lazy reply but here this is what I found man.

I'm on mobile so that's the fucking monster link I got when I copied the url for the video on how to downgrade GTAV, once you do that you have to use a launcher bypass so GTAV doesn't try upgrade each time

Have a look and see if I have missed something, will try take a further look for you when I get home if it doesn't work.
