This has to mean Lonzo at #2.

Less looked at, who could the Lakers select back to back at 27 and 28, or would they use those picks in an effort to trade up?

I liked Lonzo next to DLo a lot but Brook's 3 pt range will help that team a lot.

I'm annoyed at the trade because I really wanted to see DLo and Lonzo play together

He is just an expiring contract, don't think Lakers really value his performance on court too much

They should lol... Otherwise they gave away DLo just to shed a $15m/yr contract lmao

They did. That's why we're all fucking furious. They're chasing stars again, which clearly has worked the past 4 years.....

"But LeBron has a summer home in LA" "But Westbrook went to UCLA"

We need to realize that you need to actually offer players something besides sunshine and the chance to fuck models. Even if we are lucky enough to get Paul George like that, most top players would never consider coming to our team in its current state.

I'm assuming they're going to use #27 and #28 as part of a PG trade. I think this is all part of an effort to land LeBron next summer, but they need some established talent to convince him to sign. They won't have room for two max free agents... unless they can get PG now (and therefore get his Bird rights).

If it works, it's genius. If it fails, they run the risk of also losing Brook and PG next summer, basically giving up D'Lo and other assets for nothing.

It's ridiculous. They're planning on losing Brook though. He's just an expiring for cap room. In order to be able to sign both to max contracts, they also have to get rid of Julius Randle and Clarkson if Deng is staying. My guess is they're pushing for 27 + 28 + Randle + Clarkson for PG. Who knows if they take that though. They could also move 27 and 28 to move up in the draft although I'm not sure what that gets you.

If only they could draft a PG. oh wait...

He means paul george here lol

Why is going to go to LA for a PG when he's already got an established PG in Kyrie? Going to take a few years for Lonzo to grow, Irving is in his prime.

He meant Paul George PG13

What are you smoking?

This all depends on Russell's development, which might be better off at a team without a real scoring guard. Who knows. I'll just be glad for now that we got rid of Mozgov's parasitic contract.

So who do the nets take at 22? Has to be a big for sure, they have no depth there.

Giles? Anigbogu? Tony Bradley maybe? or do they go BPA?

Man this draft is shaping up to be one of the best ones in a while

I bet they swing for the fences and take Giles unless someone falls that is unexpected

Agreed, although I feel Bam Adebayo might fit the high-speed system they run better than Giles

I think they go boom-or-bust too. Russell is an all-in-on-the-potential trade, why not keep it going?

If Giles actually pans out, he and D'Lo together would be absolutely deadly.

Maybe for the Nets standards. Even if Giles hit his ceiling I don't see that team doing anything more than getting swept in the first round every year.
