General Evangelical AMA 2017

What do you mean by evangelical?
The term evangelical comes from the Greek word that means "good news." Evangelism is sharing the good news of the salvation that is available through Jesus Christ. An evangelical, then, is a person dedicated to promoting the good news about Jesus Christ. Combined, the description "evangelical Christian" is intended to indicate a believer in Jesus Christ who is faithful in sharing and promoting the good news.
It is this good news that we preach about: That God didn’t deal with the problem of our separation and sin as something remote and unimportant. In his Son, Jesus, he personally took on the human condition, entered the disordered mess of struggling humanity in order to set it right once and for all. The law code, weakened as it always was by fractured human nature, could never have done that.
It is for this reason that we preach the Good News, and The Message, and The Way, that ultimately is Jesus Christ. In Him we find life, hope, justice, and love that is unconditional, because we are the focus of his love, affection, and the object of his obsession.
He left eternity to enter time. Left his royal robes to clothe himself with humanity. He left the sea of crystal for the sea of separation. And then the hands that held the stars were now sentenced to bear the scars of our rebellion. He did this for you. He died so you could live. At the cross He poured his life and blood for you, so that you could be as righteous as he is. Jesus is today inviting you to be like him, more than an authority, he wants to be your friend today, and forever.
As men and women called by God to the world, we are guided by Him through all nations. We do use the bible, which is not a book on history but the direct revelation of the heart and mind of God to us. This, being divinely inspired and written by the Holy Spirit through pen and ink of men chosen by Him. We hold on to each of his words, knowing full well that none of them will ever pass away. As long as He lives, His word will live.

A couple of words:
Personally, I am an individual who loves to explore the world around me and learn more about myself through that. This is why I love to travel and make the most of the gifts and interests that I have.
My faith in God is based upon a personal relationship with Him where He is Lord of my life and I seek to obey Him and follow His ways. I also only believe that the Bible is the sole authority of God and thus base my practices on that and that alone.
That is why I became an Evangelical Christian; their belief system is built upon the cornerstones that I made for myself in my life.
God has been my father, my best friend, and my God. I've lived what many consider a crazy and impossible life, which is testament of his power and care over us. I want this for you. I want you to live his reality. I want you to hear his voice, know his mind, feel his heartbeat, and then discover the thoughts he has about you. All of this is real, at arm's reach. He is purposely so close to you so you can take what he offers: an abundant life far more real and better than anything you could imagine.
