Got lied to don't wanna confront

So I made this new friend at school and she's always so sweet and pretty chill....

She lied to me. I asked her if there were any positions available at the place she works over the summer and she said no. I just check online and it seems like there are but now it's too late. And I think she applied to it too cause I saw her there over the summer(she didn't see me though). So she knew about it. I did not confront her, because I know it will be awkward afterwards. Idk... I'm not even mad just weirded out that she would lie over something as insignificant as this. I hope this isn't a habit for her. So far she's always been nice so I'm willing to put this behind me. But if it happens again I'd have to rethink our friendship.
