PSA: With Peruta closed, carry litigation moves from CC to OC, Norman and Nichols.

With Peruta denied hearing, litigation prospects move to Norman and Nichols, both open carry cases. These are presently the two closest decisions to making it to SCOTUS.

Norman is an open carry case in Florida challenging the constitutionality of Florida's Open Carry ban under the US and Florida Constitutions. The case was decided in March. If appealed, like Caetano, the case moves immediately from the state supreme court to SCOUTUS.

Nichols is an open carry case in the 9th Circuit seeking a permanent injunction against California’s 1967 ban on openly carrying loaded firearms in public as well as a permanent injunction against California’s two, recently enacted, bans on openly carrying unloaded firearms in public.
