Used crossover/small SUV with 6 cylinders (preferred) or turbo

I'm looking for something that doesn't cost a fortune and will last awhile. This will be a camping vehicle (although 4WD isn't necessary) and a "haul around the dogs" vehicle, and well as used for long road trips.

I'd prefer it not be more than 5-years old, but I have no interest in a brand new vehicle. Price is not a big issue, but cheaper is better.

A CR-V seems like it would do the job, but I've read (but haven't verified) that they have poor rear & side visibility, which drives me crazy in my gf's Juke.
