Google Allo has so much potential.
I'm just really frustrated and need to vent. I am currently using a Google Messenger for my text, iMessages on my laptop, Facebook Messenger for family, We Chat for chinese friends, Whats app for cousins, Group me for classmates, and Allo for nothing. So I am writing this to express my frustration, and maybe we can make a list for features we would like to see in it. Then I might push for all my friends and family to switch to it.
- Integrate SMS (so it uses my number)
- Integrate Video Chat (duo)
- Integrate Phone (So I can call without opening phone app)
- Allow access from laptops (This alone could be enough to kick FB messages and imessages out the water)
- Integrate Google Drive (Like Slack does, but this would allow you to let people actually edit the document rather than comment on it)
- Integrate Calendar: to get a tally for how many people are showing up, like facebook does. I should be able to say @google at to calendar so and so event at 6pm and it should make a calendar thing event that people can click "going" and it adds it to their calendar.
Is this too much to ask? What do we have to do for google to get on the ball?
