The Auction Process: Selling off surplus inventory to free up space and money - Part 1
So, like the title states, I have a lot of surplus inventory that I want to get out of my storage unit. I thought it would be cool to document the entire process of the auction setup, auction in progress, and pickup for anyone who might be interested in auctions.
This will be a 3 part series. In part one I show the unit and how we set up the auction. Part 2 will go more in depth on what I am selling, how I got it, how much I paid for it, and why I am getting rid of it. Part 3 will show the pickup and final numbers for the auction.
I am hoping to get $10,000 gross ($7,000 net) from the auction. It is being sold through a local auction company here in Dallas, TX. Some of the stuff I never intended on selling on Ebay/Amazon. Some of the stuff I bought thinking it would sell well online, but it didn't (and I will probably lose money on it).
