Canadian Air Force

I am accepted into the Canadian Air Force as a firefighter, I'm leaving in September for basic.

Are there any current or former members that can give me an idea what the life is like once stationed at a base?

If you're in a relationship while going through and after basic, what was it like?

That's something that has been on my mind, since I have recently started seeing someone. We're both OK with long distance, but not knowing where I'll be in Canada in 2018 is making me nervous (for us, more than anything).
