Is OnePlus' cover enough to protect my phone?

Hello, this is my first time buying a OnePlus phone. My question is: is the official OnePlus cover that I can buy from the OnePlus site enough to protect my phone if it falls, or should I buy another cover?

I usually use Spigen covers but the official OnePlus covers look nice, so I am considering sticking to them.

I have always wanted to buy OnePlus ever since OnePlus 3 came out, but I am from Jordan and it's not easy to have it shipped there.

Now I'm staying in Germany for an entire semester, so I will buy OnePlus 5 tomorrow. This will be my first OnePlus phone and I am so excited! :D

Thank you for any and all answers! :)

EDIT:

I am asking about the karbon cover, specifically.
