[Question] Repairing chipped finish

I've recently bought a used Olympic White strat and it has a small chip (maybe the size of a dot on a standard domino). It has chipped through the acrylic and down to the wood. Any pointers on how to fix this? Anyone had success? I've seen some pretty in depth methods with stains, glues, and increasing grain sandpaper, but that seems pretty scary. Whatcha got?
