Hi all. I'm looking to break into popular history writing. Does anyone have any tips for helping me balance scholarship and flowing narrative?

Hey guys I'm a historian (about to graduate with my bachelors and onto my master's) an aspiring writer. I was wondering if this would be the place to look for help improving my writing. I can write decently for history but getting to a good easy to read flow is a little tough. Any tips?
