OnePlus 5 USB-C Audio Question

I just purchased my first OnePlus device with the OnePlus 5 early drop and I just got my phone. I am used to plugging in my iPhone to the USB in my Audio Deck in my car (JVC KD-R420) and the audio will play through the lightning cable directly to the phone and it will display the song name, artist, album, etc. But with my OnePlus 5 using the USB-C to the same USB port it will not play audio. My question is how can I get my car audio deck to play the audio from my Google Play Music app to play in my car? I want to be able to play my music through just the cable and it also display the song name, etc. Any help would be appreciated thank you!
