Vision, and the Nuclear Program

Hi!

I'm an officer candidate and I'm trying to get into the Nuke Program. I had my physical at MEPS and I passed everything, but unfortunately my damn pets decided to knock everything over in my apartment in jump all over my glasses when I was sleeping on Saturday, and I didn't want to cancel based off just that.

Anyways, I get to the eye exam and I ace the tests with the numbers in various colored spheres and the two RGW lights been shined towards me. I even did damn near perfect on my left eye, but when came to my eye it came out to be farsighted 20/100 and near-sighted 20/50, both uncorrected. Also they used a refractometer on my eyes and discovered that I might have amblyopia, or just lazy eye. The doctor who did my physical said that the data from the refractometer pointed towards that possibility, and that they were going to have a eye consult after all the main stuff was done with.

He also said that, if I brought my glasses and it just a fluke then I should be fine and that if it really is amblyopia then I'll be DQ'd and should fill out a waiver form immediately, because the Navy tends fairly lenient towards vision and Nuke potentials.

Am I utterly screwed if I have a lazy eye guys? What's the actual odds of obtaining a vision waiver? I really want to get into this program
