Holidays with my mother and a 3 year old ...someone shoot me
So I'm taking my child abroad for a week with my mother. It's not a long flight, thankfully but I can just see that I'm going to be lumbered looking after him the entire week because he isn't potty trained yet (and no, mother, I am not prepared to FORCE him) and can't go to the creche. Some people might think "Why would you want to stick your baby in a creche and not enjoy the experience with him?" Why? Because I'm a single parent where the father is 200 miles away and I deserve a fucking wine break, that's why.
My mother also has a habit of saying she'll help and then doing the bare minimum. Just enough so that I can't say "You're not helping".
Why did I agree to go?
I don't want to deal with a 3 year old in blazing heat.
I'm screwed.
