What is the deal with file sharing?

File sharing is slated, currently, for July. Dev said this will open "floodgates." Do you all agree that this will be a big leap for Sia? I have seen a lot of excitement for file sharing, but do not necessarily see the huge advantage. Why would I want to share my files? Who would most want to share files? What am I missing? Thanks!
