My mother completely disregarded my wishes and disrespected my writing.

I did a creative writing project where I have to turn in three different projects. Two out of three are done, the last was a Miraculous Ladybug fanfic, on how they met their kwami and etc. It's my baby. I gave it to my mom to proofread, and she stomps all over it.

"A story is supposed to be in paragraphs! That's a sentence!"

No, that's dialogue, which can stand alone without a paragraph.

"I don't understand it. It doesn't make sense to me."

Because nothing I write makes sense to you. Anything whimsical, magical, special, or sweet I write makes no sense. You have the imagination and emotional dexterity of a sandwich. I wrote her a meaningful bittersweet poem for mothers day. She said she didn't grasp it's meaning or listen when I tried to show her.

I wrote a writing prompt on how a man is eternal because of the ignorance of the world. She skimmed over it, said it was stupid and couldn't happen, and that was that.

It really hurts that she's so blunt and rude about what I love.

EDIT: She gave the paper to my dad, who I didn't want to see the story. I expressed that I did not want him to see the story. When I asked her what she did with it, she grinned and said, "Your Dad! ;)"

That. Bitch.
