I got a small win today ( but it was a good one )

Backstory; I work for a "small" 300 employee company where everyone knows everyone. A couple weeks ago a co-work passed away at 38 yrs old. I collected his laptop and copied his personal stuff to USB and tried to scrape his passwords from his social media accts. and HR gave it to his family.

One thing that was a point of contention was his company iPhone was locked and no one knows his pass-code (It's our policy that IT does not back up the devices but encourage the users to backup to iCloud ) and mgmt really wanted his iPhone unlocked for his family.

Long story short. I finally got the phone on my desk. He did have the same theme to all his passwords and the first password I guessed unlocked it. I said an expletive word the second it on locked. My boss saw it unlocked and starting hi-fiving everyone.

I told him the password and he ran down to the lobby to grab the fiancee before she left the office. It has been a pretty good Monday for me.
