Here is a post about my history with veganism.

For roughly a year and a half I was a vegan. I originally made the transition as a personal challenge that I originally intended to last about a month. I loved the lifestyle so much that I stuck with it for far longer than that one month goal. I did have my health checked by a doctor during the latter half of being a vegan, and he said that my blood test showed evidence of outstanding health. Around the 1 year mark I got into a new relationship. There was a lot of negative influence that eventually led to me to eating meat and dairy again. I do, however, take full responsibility for my relapse. Even after switching back to a more omnivorous diet, I did remain conscientious of the foods that I ate. I tried to steer clear of most animal products.

Over the last few months I have been growing increasingly concerned with the future prospects of my health. I am by all means a healthy adult, and I want to remain healthy well into my later years. I began to slowly transition back to more whole, unprocessed, plant-based foods. As I made more and more changes to my diet, eventually it occurred to me that it might be time to switch back to a vegan lifestyle. So about a week or so ago I made the switch back to veganism. This time around I feel as if the change has been much smoother, and the food choices that I'm making now are much healthier than before.

This time around I am living on my own with full access to a kitchen that I'll be using to make delicious vegan food. I'm also living in a bigger town that's in closer proximity to restaurants that offer vegan cuisine. I've also grown all-around more confident in my lifestyle choices; I believe this will greatly help me in remaining a vegan for the rest of my life.

I'm glad to be back :)
