Weird interaction between Tracer's Pulse Bomb and Mines' Entrance.

So I was playing Tracer in HM today when I noticed a weird interaction between her ult and the mines' entrance animation.

I know that this can happen with KT's pyro and other skills but I didn't know it could happen with Tracer's pulse bomb after it had connected with a target. Thought it only happened with "projectile" like skills which had to hit a target and thus the hit to explosion animation could be avoided by certain animations including entering the mines among other hero specific mobility abilities.

Is this normal?
