A poem - could be triggering.
A poem i wrote, something that i think is the best thing that represents my thoughts and feelings about it. Havent shared it with anyone but poems are my way of working through my feelings and seeing how i truly feel. I've seen others share things like poems and their writing, and i guess i just had the urge to put this out there. Despite the fact he wont ever read it, i'd like to know it's been heard.
You. You’ve crept into my life, not once, not twice, but daily. Your reoccurrence in my thoughts despite no reoccurrence in my life. Your resurfacing within my memories, failing to hide yourself, the way you tried to hide me as your dad walked in but failed. I guess we both have something in common, the failure to hide the act, although my years were much more impressive than your mere seconds. Your intrusion into my relationships the way you intruded onto my body. Your eradication of my trust the way you wiped away my childhood innocence. You. You are the daily thought that I have despite my burning hatred. Was it worth it? You pleasure for mine. Your fun for my innocence. Your adventure for my despair. Your tale, trophy and token for my ordeal.
You have my undeserved attention today, just as you did ten years ago. The way you went about your day, the way I assume you went about your life is what I dream of, what I wish I could achieve. To think that you ruined me that day, for the rest of my life, what a truly monstrous act. My anger at everyone stems from my inability to control my emotions, feelings and thoughts. The legacy that you left behind, the one that you don’t even know exists.
