Why tonal vocalisations are still considered rap sometimes... Singing / Rapping

Okay, most of y'all ain't gonna care but honestly this is something that will help a lot of people understand some stuff.

What is rapping? You use your (or you put on) a speaking voice and you talk over a beat with the right rhythm (flow), usually with appropriate energy put into it, varying some from word to word.

What is singing? You say something and you hit a certain note doing so. But the thing is, what makes Adele's singing different from Kodak Black's singing... It's the fact that Kodak 'sings' through his throat & Adele uses her diaphragm.

If you use your diaphragm to sing with the right energy, then you won't be singing in your speaking voice but in your singing voice, if you use your throat you'll be using your speaking voice (which can of course be altered in a way you want if you're good at it).

Does this really matter when you do a hook? Not really, but it's important to know what type of hook you want to do, there's NOTHING wrong with singing from your throat in a hip-hop song, if you don't have a nice singing voice or you're just not good at singing you're gonna sound corny if you create a lot of vocal energy from within your diaphragm anyway.

Hope I helped some people get some knowledge and stuff like that. Didn't read what I wrote so I might have some mistakes in the post idc.
