Hello everyone! Looking to get a better understanding of what to give and take on wedding planning.

My parents have expressed an interest in helping with our future wedding, only recently engaged and while I appreciate the help, it came with strings attached. That's to be expected, but to what extend should I give and take on?

I fully intended to pay for our own wedding, I wanted something small preferably under 50 people, that did not include giving family additional tickets to give to whom they please... It is still far to early to start fighting over trivial things but I do want to have a better idea of whats worth fighting for and why they might feel they need to invite co workers or bosses when i don't know any of them.
