I really have no idea what I should or shouldn't do in a CV

Resumes/CVs

Hey. Still looking for my first job. Part time or full time sales assistant in retail or something. I've asked around loads of places for advice on my CV, but I hear so many different things, and I know that different employers will want different things, but that's just left me confused and indecisive on what to do for my CV.

Do I do a separate list for my skills? Do I put it under work experience? Do I bother with a "personal statement", should I put my work experience/education in a little table, if I do list my skills, how should I describe those skills - do I just state the obvious? That seems silly; obviously the employer knows what fucking stacking shelves is, but do I prove it? How do you prove that, it's not like there's an example you can give, that's just the day-to-day business, it's not like it's difficult or anything.

I'm probably just overthinking this, but I'd appreciate any kind of advice really. Thank you.
