A Nox rework idea because I am bored

SUGGESTION

#Nox, the Goddess of Night

Pantheon: Roman
Class: Mage
Strengths: Area Damage, Single Target Damage
Weaknesses: Mobility, Crowd Control
Appearance: Same as it currently is

#Passive: Flame of the Night
Each time a spell is cast near Nox, whether it be from an ally or enemy, a candle of her candelabra is lit. If no spells are cast within a two second period, a candle is extinguished. Nox will gain bonus power for each candle that is ignited, for a maximum of four.

Bonus Power: 5% [Maximum : 20%]

Design Notes: Nox was originally intended to be a counter mage who gains advantages from the spells cast around her. It was a phenomenal idea that was executed very poorly. The bonus magical power she gains is actually a lot, but it's very quick timed - only lasting two seconds. It's intention is to be quick paced and meant to be useful in team fights or skirmishes with enemy mages.

Visual Notes: Same as it currently is; candle lights up with each enemy spell cast.

#1st Ability: Shadow Veil
Nox shrouds herself in darkness, granting her a shield that will block the next ability that hits her. If successfully blocking an ability within the time frame, she will gain a burst of movement speed that decays over its duration, and the enemy that broke the shield will be marked by darkness.

Shield Duration: 1.5 seconds
Movement Speed: 40/45/50/55/60% decaying over 2 seconds
Cost: 60 mana
Cooldown: 16/15/14/13/12 seconds

Design Notes: Continuing the quick paced theme, this is a very quick immunity frame that allows Nox to easily deal with the enemy mage. If you can successfully predict the burst pattern of an enemy you are facing, you can turn a fight into your favor since not only will it give you movement speed, but it will also set up your Siphon Darkness combo. This also allows Nox to stick to her linked target during her ultimate. Also, note that it COMPLETELY mitigates a single spell. So if a Chang'e ultimate hits you, you not only block the damage, but the crowd control with the spell. It's as if the spell never hit you.

Visual Notes: Nox creates a sphere of darkness around her, and if it is broken, a shadow wisp flies from Nox to the enemy that broke it to mark them in darkness. Nox will also either laugh, or say CONSUMEEE!

#2nd Ability: Night Raven
Nox sends forth a black raven of the night, which deals damage to all enemies it passes through and marks them in darkness. Enemy gods that are damaged will also be briefly blinded.

Damage: 80/125/160/205/250 (+75% of Magical Power)
Mark Duration: 4 seconds
Blind Duration: 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds
Cost: 60/70/80/90/100 mana
Cooldown: 16 seconds

Design Notes: This spell carries the least amount of complication in it. It's simply a revamped version of the old one, in that instead of silencing enemies, it blinds them. Why would Nox, a god whose ultimate REQUIRES enemies to cast spells, have a silence? And why would the goddess of NIGHT not have a blind? Here's where it can be incorporated. The cooldown is rather long, but a two second blind can be insanely powerful.

Visual Notes: It looks like a black raven, but enemies that are blinded actually just have a severely darkened screen. They wouldn't be able to see the edges of their screen at all, but as it gets closer to the center, it becomes more clear. The very center of their screen is completely clear, but that's it.

#3rd Ability: Siphon Darkness
Nox attempts to siphon darkness from a targeted area, dealing damage to all enemies in the area after a very brief delay. If a shadowed target is damaged by this, it will consume the mark and will deal bonus damage.

Damage: 60/95/130/165/200 (+50% of Magical Power)
Bonus Damage: 20/40/60/80/100 (+25% of Magical Power)
Cost: 40/45/50/55/60 mana
Cooldown: 4 seconds

Design Notes: This is pretty much Nox's main source of damage. Since Night Raven has a 16 second cooldown, this one is more spammable and allows Nox to have a continued source of damage. It's a poke ability in the most true form, but it becomes stronger when used in conjunction with her other abilities.

Visual Notes: Same as it currently is.

#Ultimate: Night Terror
Nox sends forth her own shadow, and if connecting to an enemy, deals damage to them and links Nox to them for six seconds. Each time the enemy god casts a spell while connected to Nox, they take the same damage again and Nox's cooldowns are reduced by four seconds. At the end of the duration, the enemy is stunned based on the amount of spells they cast while connected to her.

Damage: 100/125/150/175/200 (+75% of power)
Stun Duration: 1 +.25 seconds per spell cast
Cost: 100 mana
Cooldown: 90/85/80/75/70 seconds

Design Notes: This ability was why I was so captivated by Nox. Whenever you used this ability, the rest of your kit suddenly made so much more sense and it all tied together so nicely. Just being able to single out the right target actually took more skill than what is initially conceived. Night Terror was made to provide a looming fear for all magi in the game. I vamped it up a bit by not only buffing the damage ever so slightly, but also granting a stun on the end of it. This stun is stronger depending on the amount of spells cast. Also, the cooldown now goes down to 70 seconds, so that late game this can be used more often. It is a single target ability, so the cooldown is justified.

Visual Notes: this

So yah. Be as angry as you want, defend the current Nox as much as your fanboy heart desires. This isn't meant to be taken too seriously, but it's just been on my mind for a while and I was finally bored enough to do it. For those of you who are newer and do not recall old Nox, she was by far the weakest god on release, and through a series of buffs, she became a clunky mess who was way overtuned. Rather than fix her, they just scrapped it all together and made what you have today. She went from a quick paced anti-mage who actually required thought to a slow-paced cc whore who just brainlessly does 2 -> 1 combo over and over.

Enjoy~ ;)
