Selling Handmade Items on The Web

Hey everybody. We've just moved here, I am working in an IT company but my wife is unemployed. She was making and selling handmade items like keychains, bookmarks, passport covers etc. on the websites like Etsy and couple of other local sites back in our home country. I wonder if she can also do that here; sell items either on Etsy to international buyers or on Dubizzle to local buyers without a permit?
